Self Rescue From Fire

WHEN FIRE OCCURS OBEY THE FOLLOWING STEPS:

  1. Do not panic. Ring the alarm in order to signal all residents. Save yourself and your family through the exit that has been prepared or has been located.
  2. Contact the nearest fire station. Give complete details of the location of your house.
  3. While waiting for arrival of the fire brigade, try to extinguish the fire with fire extinguisher. REMEMBER! Do not place yourself in danger.


SAVING LIVE FROM FIRE TIPS
 

  1. EXIT
    The fire, when small become friend, when big become enemy. Fire indeed did not care about the occupants and their residential house. When fire occurs, the most important step is to look for a way out. Thus you must surely know at least two exits in your house to save yourself out from fire.
     
  2. DISCUSS SELF RESCUE PLAN WITH FAMILY MEMBERS
    You should have a discussion with your family on self rescue from fire at home. Make sure all your family members understand and know what should be done when fire occurs. Have practice training during weekend or leisure time so that it is always be remembered by your family members.
     
  3. TRY TO AVOID FROM USING BAR
    Try to avoid from using iron bar on the windows and doors. If you are forced to do so, make sure that the bar can be opened from inside easily.
     
  4. EXITS ARE NOT BLOCKED
    Make sure all exit in your home can be easily BE pass though and free of any obstruction. 
     
  5. EASY TO ACCESS THE KEY
    Each family member must know where the keys are kept. Do not keep changing the location of the keys.
     
  6. INSTALL SMOKE DETECTOR 
    Make sure you install at least one smoke detector in the house signalling the beginning of fire.
